What do you picture when someone mentions fall festivals? If it’s crisp autumn leaves, freshly baked pies, a chill in the air, and pumpkin spice everything then you’re in luck. Many of the upcoming events in the area capture these classic pieces of autumn charm.
- Old Town Warrenton Fall Festival – A festival right on main street with live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, a variety of vendors, and many shops participating. The festival will go from 9am to 4pm on September 23rd. Consider attending and supporting your local small businesses!
- Remington Fall Festival – Shops, carnival food, petting zoo animals, town history, and more are at this festival! The festival is on October 14th, from 9am until 3pm. Check out the small fair if you’re in the area to get in the fall spirit!
- Fauquier County Fall Farm Tour – Interested in farms and how they work? Consider enjoying the Fall Farm Tour, located at Kinloch Farm! The tour happens on October 14th, and the farm store is open for tours and shopping from 10am to 6pm.
- The Great Pumpkin Ride – The Great Pumpkin Ride is a biking event, with 3 options for distance: 24 miles, 49 miles, or 64 miles. There are rest stops stocked with pumpkin themed items throughout the course, with things like pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin soup, and other basic rest stop goods. Registration is only online, and only 1,200 people can participate, so apply quickly if you´re interested! The registration deadline is October 14th, and the event date is the 28th.
- Kettle Run One Act – This year’s Kettle Run one act is Bad Auditions by Bad Actors, a fun comedy show! All actors are Kettle Run students, and everyone is working hard to make the play great. Come watch the show on October 28th or 29th, in the Kettle Run auditorium, and support your school!
- Kings Dominion Great Pumpkin Fest – The Great Pumpkin Fest is all the fun of Kings Dominion, but with additional fall festivities! It takes place from September 23rd until October 29th. This event is family friendly, and very tame in levels of being scary. There´s mazes, fall themed games, pumpkin painting, live entertainment, and more to enjoy!
- Kings Dominion Fright Night – Fright night offers later halloween festivities for older park enjoyers, who can handle a lot more of a scare. Scare actors, haunted mazes, and more terrifying activities are presented during fright night. The event spans nights from September 22nd to October 29th.
- Trunk or Treat – Hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, trunk or treat is a fun alternative or addition to trick or treating! Along with the trunk or treat, fall festivities and games will be provided for those who attend. The event takes place on October 7th, and it is welcome to all!
