The Old Town Warrenton Fall Festival is a seasonal event that takes place annually, that I had the pleasure of enjoying this year! Tents with vendors lined the streets, and small businesses offered adorable seasonal decor and special items. Festive fall events are something I really enjoy, so this event was something I thoroughly enjoyed.
I started off my day by trying two seasonal drinks from Deja Brew, a café located on the main strip of old town. The hot cider was sweet and very refreshing, and the Apple Pie latte can only be described as delicious. The café in general is a reliable spot to relax and have a good drink, and their teas in particular are very enjoyable.
Next, I ordered the baked brie, as well as chicken and waffles from Denim and Pearls. Denim and Pearls is a restaurant located across from Deja Brew. Although it can be a bit pricey, it is arguably worth it as their food is delicious. Their brie in particular is a favorite of mine.
The tents with vendors were another lovely part of the event, and in particular I noticed lots of adorable jewelry and hand crocheted items. It was good to see the area busy, with small businesses and independent sellers thriving. One of the tents included live music, where many local musicians performed, including some from Kettle Run.
I also made a point to visit the bookstore, The Open Book, as there is a cat there and the employees are always very friendly. After this, I painted a ceramic pumpkin at the shop known as Earth, Glaze, and Fire. It was surprisingly inexpensive, being only eight dollars, and it was very fun!
Overall, the event was very enjoyable with lots to do, and I recommend checking out Old Town’s future events. Supporting local businesses is important, and festivals like these are such a great opportunity to do so. Plus, the experience is a high quality one, and the weather is perfect for it during Fall!
