With Fall coming up, Erin’s Elderberries in Vint Hill brought back their fall menu with autumn flavors. The seasonal menu includes pumpkin spice chai lattes, pumpkin spice lattes, homemade apple cider, Nutty Punkin’, and Chaider. They also have many baked goods, including pumpkin snickerdoodles, pumpkin cookies, muffins, and apple pie bars.
I decided to try the Nutty Punkin’, which is a hazelnut cold brew topped with pumpkin cream cold foam. The cold brew was pretty strong, while the pumpkin foam added a nice creamy sweetness and made the drink taste like fall. The hazelnut flavor added a very nice rich flavor without overpowering the pumpkin. To go with the drink, I tried a pumpkin snickerdoodle. The cookie was soft with a rich warm pumpkin taste, and the cinnamon-sugar coating made it a bit more sweet.
Ultimately, the fall menu at Erin’s Elderberries gives a handful of fall flavors without limiting us customers to just pumpkin spice. Between the drinks, baked goods, and local fall merchandise and products, there is something for everyone looking to feel that autumn spirit.
