With the arrival of the fall season, restaurants, fast food chains, and small local businesses alike put out their seasonal food and drinks. Wendy’s has come out with an apple crunch fusion frosty, as a fan of fall flavors i wanted to see if it’s worth your money or you should pass the treat entirely. When ordering you get to choose your base of either chocolate, or vanilla.
I chose vanilla because I thought it would go much better with the apple cinnamon flavor. The treat features apple syrup and crunchy oat crumble which also includes a caramel drizzle on the sides of the cup. The presentation was very good, it looked very appetizing and something I would want to buy if I saw it in an ad.
The cinnamon oat crunch tasted exactly how it sounds, it was a good crunch for the frosty. The texture of the frosty was the perfect frosty consistency, it was thick but not too thick, the perfect in between. The flavor on the other hand was not the best. All i tasted was an artificial green apple that was pretty gross especially mixed with the cinnamon crunch, it didn’t fit. The caramel on the sides all dropped to the bottom which made it hard to stir and if I wanted something from the bottom I would just get caramel.
I could only take about two bites before I couldn’t eat anymore. I had pretty high expectations for this frost, especially because Wendy’s Frosty’s are delicious and apple cinnamon deserts are my favorite. I think if the apple wasn’t as artificial tasting it would be so much more delicious. Overall I don’t think this frost is worth your money unless an artificial apple is your thing.
